Track Excavator Operator - Calgary

For residential and commercial foundation excavations. Knowledge of blueprints and site grade plans a must.

3 years minimum experience required.

Remuneration will be based on experience.

Commercial Foreman - Calgary

This position requires working in a variety of capacities from reading blueprints, measuring and checking grades to organizing and supervising small crews.   The position also involves physical labor and some light equipment operation.

Survey experience is an asset.  Remuneration will be based on experience.

Job Set-up Coordinator - Edmonton

 

Position Summary:

 

This role is responsible for all aspects of Job Set-up, including: organization and processing of all documentation to ensure timely and accurate job set-up.  This position works in direct support with our field operations and is critical to their success in meeting scheduled timelines, correct job scope of work, accurate billings and responding to customer work requests.

 

Essential Functions:

Job Setup & Monitoring

Ø  Manage the collection, input and maintenance of new residential and commercial jobs, and phase of work requests

Ø  Ensure the accuracy of job data including contract pricing and plan measurements

Ø  Work closely with Estimators, Central Scheduling, Field Supervisors and Operations Management to deliver a perfect job to our customers

 

Job Coordination

Ø  Responsible for arranging locates, prior to job starts, so that site safety requirements are met

Ø  Managing permits and city inspections with Field Supervisors

Ø  Updating excavation schedules and coordinating job releases to the Field

Ø  Liaise & coordinate with Central Scheduling for job delivery

 

Office Administration

Ø  Present oneself in a professional manner, maintaining courteous and respectful communication with both external and internal customers

Ø  Required to answer phones, coordination and distribution of mail, courier and faxes

Ø  Responsible for office supplies and equipment maintenance

Ø  Ensure the roles best practices and procedures are documented, current and available for cross training

Ø  Provide assistance & support to management, office & field personnel

Ø  Support safety policy administration

Ø  Coordinate office social events, meeting planning and promotional gatherings

 

Professional Qualifications and Requirements:

Ø  High School Diploma required

Ø  Enrollment in a post secondary program that complements work in the construction industry (Estimating, CET etc)

Ø  Minimum 2 years experience in the residential construction industry with some administrative experience

Ø  Blueprint reading would be an asset

Ø  Must be reliable and detailed oriented

Ø  Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

Ø  High level of energy with a desire to get things done

Ø  Must be able to set priorities and manage several tasks concurrently

Ø  Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Ø  Works well in an environment with firm deadlines and results orientated

Ø  Experience with Timberline Office or similar accounting software an asset

Ø  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel required)

Senior Estimating/Project Manager - Calgary

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a senior position with leadership responsibilities within the Estimating department.  Through creativity, commitment and integrity you will build on Keystone¡¦s existing market presence and be responsible for the initiation of existing and potential jobs.  You will lead initiatives that support our corporate goal, to ¡§own¡¨ the market in commercial, residential and infrastructure dirt management in Western Canada AND will be a platinum top 50 managed company in Canada by 2020.

SUMMARY OF KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: 
- Successfully tender and manage projects and cliental 
- Preparation and presentation of thorough and accurate tenders 
- Project Management with attention to, identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities, issuing change orders and tracking job costs. 
- Involvement in the business development, best practice development and vision of the department and the company. 
- Develop and nurture key relationships (clients, trade partners and peers). 
- Demonstrate leadership and take initiative within the estimating department. 
- Client networking, involvement in industry associations. 
- Successfully work within a team to achieve a common vision.

SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE: 
- 7+ years related Estimating/Project Management experience in progressive roles with strong knowledge and understanding of the Earth Excavation process. 
- Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. 
- Knowledge of local market. 
- Computer knowledge required 
- Estimates/Earthworks software familiarity is a definite asset.
